Physical and Chemical PropertiesChemical properties brilliant blue powder. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in dyeing water. The aqueous solution is brilliant blue, adding sodium hydroxide to turn blue, accompanied by precipitation. Soluble in ethanol and bright blue. It is golden yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns to light yellow-green after dilution. When dyeing, the color light of copper ions becomes darker, and the color light of iron ions becomes darker.
UseUses Weak acid brilliant blue BA can be used for dyeing wool, silk and wool blended fabrics, and can also be directly printed on wool, silk and viscose fabrics with bright and bright color. It can also be combined with acid mordant dyes to dye navy blue and play a role in brightening. It can also be dyed wool/viscose blended fabric in the same bath with direct sun-resistant dyes in a neutral bath. When used for dyeing wool with other fibers in the same bath, wool, nylon and silk are similar in color, polyester is slightly stained, and cellulose fibers are not stained. It is also used to make organic pigments and leather coloring.

ACID BLUE 15 - Production method

Using N-ethyl-N-(m-sulfonic benzyl) aniline, formaldehyde and N,N-diethyl m-toluidine as raw materials, N-ethyl-N-(m-sulfonic benzyl) aniline is first condensed with formaldehyde, then oxidized, and condensed with N,N-diethyl m-toluidine to obtain the product. The finished product is salted out, filtered, dried and crushed.
Dilute and beat N-ethyl-N-(m-sulfonic benzyl) aniline with water, add sodium carbonate to neutralize, add 30% hydrochloric acid to adjust pH value, then add 36% formaldehyde solution, raise the temperature to boiling, and heat preservation reaction for 3-5h to the end point.
After the above condensate is diluted, the temperature is reduced to about 25 ℃, 30% sodium dichromate solution is added, N,N-diethyl m-toluidine is added after stirring for 30min, and the heat preservation reaction is carried out at 25 ℃, 50 ℃ and 75 ℃ to the end point. Filtration, the filtrate is salted out with 10% refined salt (based on the volume of filtrate), filtered, and refined to obtain the original dye.
